Xanthos, Saklıkent & Patara

Begin the day with a guided visit to Xanthos, one of the major cities of Lycia. Explore its impressive ruins, including the theatre, agora and monumental tombs, while gaining insight into the region’s rich history.

Continue inland to Saklıkent Gorge, one of the most impressive natural sites in the area. Walk through the gorge, following wooden walkways and shallow streams, with the option to venture deeper into the cooler sections of the canyon.

Lunch is served in Saklıkent or in a nearby natural setting.

In the afternoon, visit Patara, once a major Lycian harbour city. Explore the ruins, including the ancient theatre and main street, before enjoying time at Patara Beach, one of the longest sandy beaches in the region.

For those looking for a little more activity, a short rafting experience of approximately 30 minutes can be arranged on the Xanthos River.

Comfortable shoes, swimwear, a towel and a change of clothes are recommended.
